1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Shortsome (shortsome.in), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Service description

Shortsome is an online platform that converts long-form YouTube videos into short-form vertical videos ("shorts"). The service uses AI-powered clip selection, face tracking, captioning, and rendering to produce ready-to-publish content.

3. Account & authentication

You sign in using a WhatsApp OTP sent to your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone number and account. Each phone number may only be associated with one account.

4. Credits & billing

  • Shortsome operates on a prepaid credit system. 1 credit = 1 rendered short.
  • Credits are purchased in packs via Razorpay. Prices are listed on the Billing page and are inclusive of all taxes.
  • Credits are deducted only when you finalize a render. Browsing, uploading, and previewing clips are free.
  • Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
  • Purchased credits, signup bonuses, ordinary promotional credits, manual top-ups, and standard refunds do not expire while your account remains active.
  • Referral reward credits use the referral programme's configured validity period (two months by default); any unspent remainder expires on the displayed expiry date.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit YouTube videos you do not own or have rights to repurpose.
  • Use the service to produce content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or overload the service infrastructure.
  • Share your account credentials or session with others.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the service without prior written consent.

6. Content ownership

You retain ownership of the videos you submit and the shorts generated from them. Shortsome does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We may store your content temporarily on our servers to deliver the service.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Shortsome available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled or unscheduled downtime may occur for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. If a render fails due to a service error, the credited amount is automatically refunded.

8. Limitation of liability

Shortsome is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for credits in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited unless a refund is warranted under our Refund Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
